«Tricolor TV» became multiplatform

On November 1, 2016, the largest Russian digital television provider has presented the online movie theater kino.tricolor.tv during RIW-2016. This online resource will become a product from the wide range of the tools providing entertainment and media services to subscribers of the company in all digital environments.

On November 1, 2016, the largest Russian digital television provider «Tricolor TV» has presented the online movie theater «Tricolor TV Movies». A proprietary web-based platform filled with content both by the operator and in partnership with other major players in the market is a technical basis of the project. Tvigle and Tvzavr already act as partners of «Tricolor TV» in the framework of the new multimedia project, the agreement on partnership with AMEDIA TV is reached as well. The operator continues to negotiate directly with owners of the video content and other market players.

High quality of the video materials provided is the main advantage of kino.tricolor.tv. All movies and TV series in the library are available in the HD format. At the same time, the universal access is ensured: the content can be viewed on any stationary or mobile device connected to the Internet.

The media portal tricolortvmag.ru is the second large online resource being developed by the company. The main objective of the portal is to promptly provide all necessary information about new movies and TV programs, latest fashion, sports and digital technology news to Russian TV viewers and Internet users. The portal tricolortvmag.ru was launched at the end of 2015. As of October 19, 2016, the Internet audience of the project amounted to 2 867 614 unique visitors, the average monthly increase in the natural traffic in 2016 was 11,75%, the daily traffic in October reached 22 unique visits a day (natural traffic). The editorial policy of the edition complies with the principles of creating «new media», and the promotion of the site is provided by the top Russian digital agency.

Since November 2016, a mobile version of tricolortvmag.ru and the special mobile application TricolorMag giving the possibility to browse the monthly magazine on the iOS and Android platforms (including offline browsing) will be available to users. The subscribers of «Tricolor TV» who installed a new generation satellite receiving equipment can look through the adapted version of the magazine on their TV screens using the special application. Such possibility is available to more than 6 million of subscribers of the operator.

The third direction which is being actively developed by the company includes the possibility to view TV on mobile devices within a subscriber home. According to the information of «Tricolor TV», ca. 40% of subscribers use new generation receivers having the possibility to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet port. This opens up a wide range of possibilities for the development of various services for the operator.

Since the summer of 2016, the services «Manage the Broadcast» with the features «TV Broadcast Pause» «TV Broadcast Recording» and «TV Broadcast Timer Recording» giving the possibility to watch movies and TV shows at a convenient time are available to subscribers of «Tricolor TV».

In November, a new version of the service «Tricolor TV Movie Theaters» will be presented, and experts say that such version will radically change the concept of the traditional linear TV viewing.
