Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) recommends: Tricolor has launched a channel «Pod Yolkoy (Under a Christmas Tree)» with Nikolai Fomenko
Tricolor has prepared for the clients a New Year gift: festive content on a specially created pop-up channel Pod Yolkoy with the known actor, musician, and showman Nikolai Fomenko being its image. This is already the second New Year TV channel created by Tricolor.
The new TV channel Pod Yolkoy is available to Tricolor’s subscribers only. Specially for telecasting unique content was shot: announcements of films, toasts, New Year greetings and jokes performed by Nikolai Fomenko. The shootings that lasted 4 days resulted in about one hundred sketches.
The basis of the broadcast schedule is over 200 hours of New Year content specially selected by Tricolor: comedies, melodramas, cartoons and Christmas fairy tales. Part of foreign films is provided by the world’s leading majors: Universal, Paramount, Hallmark.
«The second year in a row Tricolor has been giving to its subscribers a specially created New Year TV channel. We love our clients, that is why we always try to please them with new services and exclusive content. On our TV channel Pod Yolkoy the level of excellent New Year mood will spill over. For the Russians seeing New Year in with Tricolor has already become a good tradition», — deputy general manager for operative and strategic marketing Andrew Nesterov says.
On the Pod Yolkoy TV channel Fomenko tried on not just a Father Frost, but many others. For each film announcement its own nature and delivery were designed.
Two decorations were specially created for shooting: a television studio with a scene and audience hall, and a cozy apartment decorated in a New Year’s style.
«At work» Fomenko is a comedian, a master of ceremonies, a star, a man who makes people laugh and creates New Year’s mood. He performs on the stage, reembodies other personages or cracks his own jokes. In terms of genre this is both classic entertainment miniature and acute spot-on standup.
«At home» Fomenko is an ordinary man who prepares to see New Year in, celebrates it and comes around after it. As everybody else, he performs regular New Year rituals and at the same time shares his good mood with the TV spectators. All jokes accompany the action (prepares food, decorates the Christmas tree, adjusts the TV etc.), and delivered “on the run” in sketch form.
«I am glad to take part in Tricolor’s project and become a New Year’s ambassador of a TV channel. Pod Yolkoy is a good family TV channel that will definitely embellish New Year’s festivities of millions of Russians», — Nikolai Fomenko shared.
The videos were directed by Sergey Sentsov known to the spectators by the TV series Fizruk and Dyldy.
«Great thanks to Tricolor for the offer to work together. It is an excellent idea to make a New Year TV channel and invite Nikolai Fomenko as an anchorman. Sitting at the monitors, I burst out laughing a couple of times. For me Fomenko is one of the most interesting comic actors and undoubtedly the coolest Father Frost of the nation», — Sergey Sentsov told.
Pod Yolkoy will broadcast free for the clients as part of the basic operator’s packages until 31 January 2020, at the position 22 in the total list of TV channels. Pod Yolkoy can be watched on 5 devices: not only via satellite, but also by ОТТ.
Tricolor’s TV channels can also be watched by those who are not the operator’s «satellite» clients by simply downloading the application Tricolor Kino i TV and making a subscription for 149 rubles per month or 1500 rub/year. Along with the New Year TV channel such subscribers get more than 90 online-channels, including in HD format.
In addition to the unique New Year content Tricolor carries out a festive event for its clients only. The users who have extended subscription from 1 to 28 December 2019 for the basic packages of TV channels will receive 5,000 scores to the Vyruchai card of Pyatyorochka food chain.
It is worth to remind that on 10 December 2018 Tricolor in partnership with the company Bazelevs launched a New Year-devoted TV channel Yolki TV. In the course of two months the released parts of the popular Russian franchise Yolki (Christmas trees) were telecast by the first Russian pop-up channel. In the promotional videos devoted to the launch of the TV channel, the director of Yolki Timur Bekmambetov himself was shot, along with the characters of the film. This was the first time he was shot for promotional purposes for the 25 years’ of his career.
