From The Revenant to Bohemian Rhapsody: Tricolor will show the New Regency Studio films
Tricolor has signed a long-term cooperation contract with New Regency, an international company, one of the major content producers. Hollywood films will be broadcasted on the operator's own production channels.
The operator has been granted the broadcasting rights to 40 of the studio's release hits, including The Revenant, Gone Girls, Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as Alvin and the Chipmunks, a family comedy saga. The content is available for Tricolor satellite customers and users of the Tricolor Cinema and TV mobile app, as well as in web version of the operator's streaming service kino.tricolor.tv. As part of the agreement, internet viewers will be able to view all of the studio's films within seven days from their going on the air, by using the Catch Up feature. In January, viewers will be offered the psychological thriller Don't Say a Word, the crime drama Heat starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, and Hollywood thriller Street Kings. For the “light genre” fans, Tricolor has prepared a showing of family drama Marley & Me, and the teen comedy What Happens in Vegas.
“The key directions for the company's development this year will be technological improvement and multiple content growth. Therefore, Tricolor has been strengthening the partner block, discussing possible cooperation with Russian and foreign producer centers and film studios. New Regency is the global player who has been holding the leading position in the film production market for over 40 years. We are happy to share the films of this company with our clients,” – commented Marina Gasparyan, Tricolor Content Production Director.
The operator will be showing Hollywood film masterpieces in own production channels: Thriller Film, Premium, Comedy, as well as Romantic, Horror, Blockbuster, and Hit.
