Tricolor grows by one third in the B2B segment

The number of Tricolor customers in the B2B segment has increased by more than a third within a year.

From June 2018 to June 2019, the number of corporate clients using Tricolor services increased by 36%.

More than half of all new B2B clients are in the HoReCa segment  —  cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels, motels, and recreation centers. The second and third places are occupied by business centers and beauty / health centers. Other customers who use Tricolor facilities: public organizations, educational institutions, fitness clubs and sports centers, gas stations, car dealerships and workshops, stores and shopping malls.

Tricolor distinguishes several driving forces for the growing B2B client base:

  • increasing number of new businesses in the HORECA segment in anticipation of the 2018 FIFA World Cup (restaurants, sports bars and hotels);

  • strengthening trend of legal public content broadcasting in offices and business centers1;

  • available top sports channels and the largest UHD package in Russia.

  • favorable terms of connection and promotions2.

As of July 2019, the Tricolor B2B segments are distributed as follows: HoReCa — 52%, offices and business centers — 13.5%, car dealerships and gas stations — 9%, fitness clubs and sports centers — 4, 6%, beauty and health centers - 4.2%.

“The Tricolor packages include more than 120 television channels of various content in HD and Ultra HD formats, including in foreign languages. We help businesses and companies to organize legal public broadcast of content. Our offers are available for any business segments. Our customers can upgrade their attractiveness using non-linear services of Tricolor, so that their guests can control the television broadcast,” says Ilya Upkhonov, head of Sales and Customer Service at the corporate and special market of projects, Tricolor.

Tricolor is a multi-platform digital media operator that provides a wide range of digital services, including television broadcast throughout Russia. Tricolor creates a single family-friendly information space for entertainment and services, accessible from any device, place and time. Apart from traditional satellite TV, Tricolor consumers can use Internet connection to watch TV channels, and have an option of controlling the broadcast: “Catch Up”, “Start Over”. AS of the 2nd quarter of 2019, the total operator’s client base has over 12.232 million users, including 10 million HDTV subscribers and about 100 thousand UHD customers. In 2018, the operator was the fifth in the largest world pay-TV operators rating (IHS Markit, 2019).
