Tricolor joined the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment. The company received the status of an associate member in connection with the launch of a new project – the space of children’s services “Tricolor for Kids”.

On June 1, the multiplatform operator Tricolor announced the launch of a space of children’s services “Tricolor for Kids”. The project will combine all of the operator’s children’s products and make access to a variety of children’s and family content even safer for the child and more convenient for the parent. Safe environment includes all children’s products by the operator: a lot of content in scope of the main and additional services, children’s interface on the receivers, children’s remote control, video baby monitor, as well as a loyalty program. Tricolor also pays great attention to creating constructive content for children and parents – in 2021 the operator’s content library was expanded with cartoons for children with visual impairments, as well as the project “Other Children’s Era” by psychologist Viktoria Shimanskaya.

The Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment has the same goals as Tricolor – to create a safe and supportive digital environment that provides children with opportunities for creative and professional self-development, socialization, and safe communication in virtual space.

Tricolor is a multiplatform operator that develops a shared information space of entertainment and services for the entire family accessible from any device, anywhere, anytime. The Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment aims to create a safe online space for children, in order to facilitate full development of creative potential of the new generation. It was founded by nine of Russia’s largest IT and communications companies: VimpelCom, Gazprom Media Holding, Kaspersky Lab, MegaFon, MTS, VK (formerly Mail.ru Group), National Media Group, Rostelecom, and Yandex. On September 1, 2021, the companies signed an agreement to cooperate and join the Alliance. Alliance members have made voluntary commitments to improve the digital literacy of children, parents, and educators, shape and promote positive and educational content, develop new approaches to protect children online, create necessary information technology solutions to protect personal data, and proactively identify and remove content that may be harmful to children’s health and development. An important area of the Alliance’s work is an ongoing dialogue with the state and international organizations to combine efforts to protect children in the digital world.
