Watch (Out), Don’t Get Sick! Tricolor Presents Russian Citizens Free TV and Films for Taking Care of Health and Getting Vaccinated Against COVID-19

12 июля 2021

Tricolor and стопкоронавирус.рф launch the Get Vaccinated initiative. All the Russians vaccinated against the Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) can submit a request on the operator’s website tricolor.tv and get a chance to watch TV, films and series free of charge for a month.

The Tricolor multiplatform operator offers the Russian citizens to take care of their health and contribute into everyone’s safety by showing social responsibility. Since July 9 to August 15, 2021, any Russian residents can get a present — a chance to watch TV channels, films and series for free for the entire month after getting vaccinated against the Coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The initiative is implemented with the support of the official Internet resource for promotion of public awareness of the Coronavirus issues (COVID-19) — стопкоронавирус.рф.

To take part in the initiative it is enough to pass at least the first round of vaccination and submit a request until August 15, 2021, on tricolor.tv with a picture of the document that proves this fact or your QR code. The current clients will get a month of watching channels and films both via the satellite and online from Tricolor. Those who have not subscribed to the operator’s services will get a similar access to the content on kino.tricolor.tv or via the Tricolor Cinema and TV app on mobile devices and Smart TV.

“As a socially responsible business with a client base of more than 12.2 mln households, Tricolor customarily can’t stay on the sidelines, when the entire world fights against the spreading Coronavirus. We express our gratitude to the vaccinated citizens of our country for this responsible step, for their care about themselves and people around them. We express it the best way we can — making the Russians’ leisure more diverse in the context of reinforced quarantine measures!”, says Roman Makhaev, Tricolor Operations Director.

The launched initiative is not the first operator’s attempt to support the population on their fight against the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). In 2020, Tricolor became the first company that provided the services of its own call center to create a 122 uniform hotline in St. Petersburg. With the support of the Government of St. Petersburg, within a few days the service was deployed based on Tricolor Call Center the employees of which underwent special training so that they could take up to 10,000 calls per day in total.

Also, in spring 2020, Tricolor opened free access to 107 popular all-Russian and thematic channels, including 16 channels from the Children’s Subscription for all the Russians.

Besides, with the support of the Ministry of Enlightenment the operator launched MOYA SHKOLA online (‘MY SCHOOL online’), a TV channel that helped high school pupils to prepare for their exams in a distance format.

To inform the population about the epidemiological situation Tricolor’s Bolshoy Efir (‘Big Broadcast’) now included Pandemiya 2020 (‘Pandemic 2020’) — a daily news program.

“The стопкоронавирус.рф portal is an official source of information about the Coronavirus infection in Russia established by the Government of the Russian Federation. It contains all the necessary information about the vaccines used against COVID-19 used in our country, their effect, safety and efficiency. Today the main choice should be done — a choice for the benefit of your own and public health. We are happy that reasonable decisions receive some additional support through such initiatives”, Sofia Malyavina, CEO of ANO National Priorities, noted.

Tricolor is a multiplatform operator that develops a shared information space of entertainment and services for the entire family accessible from any device, anywhere, anytime. Along with TV that can be watched both via the satellite and in the Internet, the operator offers its clients cutting-edge digital services including online movie theater, smart houses, CCTV monitoring and satellite Internet. At the end of 2020, the total base of Tricolor amounted to 12.257 mln households, including 10.3 mln. HDTV subscribers. At the end of Q1 of 2021, the base of UHD clients exceeded the mark of 300,000.

ANO National Priorities was established in November 2019 through the Government Executive Order and has exclusive competencies in the field of state communications connected with Russian national projects in terms of their information support, monitoring of implementation and extension of participation formats for people. The organization is also an operator of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia and a creator of the official resource about the COVID-19 pandemic — стопкоронавирус.рф.
